The plight of Madam Teng was highlighted in Guang Ming newspaper some time last week. April posted the link to Vivienne Chew, who immediately mobilized a few individuals to help her. The immediate need in this case was to help the dogs, which according to the newspaper, are in dire need of food. It was irrelevant, for now, to discuss other issues such as whether she neuters her dogs or not and other matters. These issues can be addressed after the dogs’ hunger pangs are satisfied. What is crucial is to ensure that the dogs have food, glorious food.

Such is the practicality of Vivienne Chew. She approached some friends who were ever willing and generous with their gifts of cash, food, cages and other stuff. Vivienne contacted the newspaper reporter who wrote this article and managed to get her to take us there. On Sunday (18/12/11), 5 of us (Vivienne, Annie, Alex, Vivian and myself made our way to Kuang to meet this Madam Teng.

We learnt when we got there that she had moved some of her dogs to another place in view of threats to her dogs. She was asked to move out from her present place. She managed to find a place temporarily to house her dogs. We sent the things to her new place.

She told us about the eviction she had faced thus far and her problems. Well, as Vivienne, the ever down-to-earth, said we are not there to get involved with her personal problems. Our main concern is to see to the immediate needs of the dogs which is food. Of course, she will have to help herself by taking a serious look at her circumstances and try to adjust her time so that she can work. Excuses such as cannot work because she has to take care of the dogs are not acceptable. All of us have to take care of animals and work too. All responsible rescuers should learn to adjust and adapt and not expect to live fully on the charity of the public. Well, if we profess to feel sorry for the dogs and  want to keep them, then we should make sacrifices. No one can undertake this responsibility of providing for her dogs or other rescuers’ dogs for life.

I have to commend very highly Vivienne Chew who was instrumental in this charity effort. In her own small way, she has shown that helping does not require a great fanfare. Neither is a whole committee needed. The ingredients are a compassionate heart for animals, willingness to sacrifice time and money, and systematic planning. Every individual can do their part to help. She personally approached her friends and other individuals to help Mdm Teng. Kudos to Annie and Alex (the 2 drivers) and Vivian, who inspite of their busy schedule took time to do their bit for the dogs. Last but not least, a big and hearty thank you to all who have contributed (I don’t know their names so Vivienne will have to provide.)

Before we left, we have strongly advised Mdm Teng to neuter her dogs as breeding is a definite no-no. We hope that she will heed it.

The problem started between MDDB and Puspa and had nothing to do with you and me directly. We each chose to support the group that we want to support and this shouldn’t have presented a problem, until you chose to turn this into a personal battle for reasons best known to you. Our paths have not crossed before but somehow in your zealousness to please your goddess Puspa, you made vicious and bitchy remarks which were none of your business. Granted that you didn’t mention my full name, but such are the underhand tactics that I’ve come to expect from your group. Your goddess has been doing this to MDDB and I guess you take after her. You can fully take the blame for what transpires after this.

I realize that I’m dealing with a stirrer, instigator and unethical person. Cowards operate this way. I’m very versatile as I can be refined when I choose to and vulgar when forced to. In this case, you have forced me to deal with this in a manner which I don’t want to but it leaves me no choice, as I have reason to believe that handling it with kids’ gloves would not have much impact on someone like you. Something bordering on crudity, I’m sure, you would understand better. You give me no choice but to treat you as one who has been dragged up and not brought up.

What’s your Chinese name, Karen? Don’t tell me, I can guess. Must be something like ‘Ho Larn Cunt’ (for the benefit of non-Chinese readers, it means ‘be fucked’). The ‘Larn’ may be the people or the instrument used to perform the act on her.

Do you happen to be Mdm Ho’s sister, the one who betrayed Susan by spilling what Susan told her to your goddess? The one who received a lot of kickbacks from your goddess? The one whom I met at a Chinese New Year do at one of the shelters? The one who struck me as overly keen to talk about her role in rescuing dogs? The one who let her words tumble over each other in her bid to get them out as fast as she could in one breath, so that she could talk endlessly? The one that people labeled as “3 8” in Cantonese? The one who behaves like a ‘kay-poh-chee’ and one would not be wrong to refer to her as country bumpkin who has never seen the bigger world? The one who was so excited at meeting other rescuers and benefactors and act like she is meeting royalty? Her excitement was so overflowing that it’s hard to miss it. She would repeat the same thing over and over again like a broken tape recorder.

It’s becoming clearer to me why you are willing to bend backwards for your goddess and to let her walk all over you. You do owe her, don’t you? Because of Mdm Ho? Of course, I expect that you are going to deny this over and over again, as you can’t stand to be confronted with the ugly truth about your goddess. Never mind, the truth shall prevail.

Who appointed your goddess or you and your cronies as overseers of Susan? When Susan started her shelter, has your goddess appeared? Were you around then? What fucking business is it of yours or your goddess or your cronies how Susan runs her shelter? Why must your goddess use strong-arm tactics to intimidate Susan? That is called bullying of which your group seems to be noted for. Your goddess even went to a pet exhibition to make a show of herself in condemning Susan, more to get attention on herself. When that did not seem enough, she went on FB to malign her. Susan is not computer savvy and could not defend herself. Is that fair? Of course, it’s a waste of time asking that question of you as I too have realized that your group does not know what fairness is.

Let me draw a parallel for you in the hope that you in your denseness can see more clearly. Let’s say you have died, and someone paints a horrible picture of you in the eulogy, I would say serves you right, but it still wouldn’t be fair to you since you are not alive to defend yourself. Now, do you get it or do you choose not to?

There are other shelters in much worse condition. Why doesn’t your group do something? There are kill shelters where animals are put down like flies. Why doesn’t your group do something? Big Bro, cannot be bullied, is it? There are so many abuse cases that are highlighted. What about the dog pounds? Oh, yes, the recent one where the press was present. MDDB actually supported it as it stands by their word to expose the council cruelty. Did your group appreciate that? Of course not. Why pick on Susan? I’ve asked this before and I’m asking again. Susan is easily bullied, is it? What does that make your group and your goddess? Something quite despicable? BULLIES.

As far as I gather, whatever your group does must have accompanying fanfare. Trying to mislead people into thinking how great you are to animals when it’s actually self-glorification you seek. A true rescuer will stay very much in the background and not call attention to themselves.

Now, let’s come to the issue at hand. The following was put up by you in FB:

“DOINKS! Guess what and who? Chow Chow lady. Yes, Chow Chow. Ask her to take care of her students. We heard her students cannot stand the smell in the class that they stopped going there already. Bussiness must be pretty bad. One little bird in broga tweeted she didnt pay her bills up to 7K and her dogs were suffering. OMG can someone verify this?!”

You personally attacked me without provocation, or maybe the fact that I spoke up for MDDB is provocation to you. Now, that is also none of your business. I didn’t make any personal attacks on you, yet you want to stir up trouble. I have my guesses where you get the information from and typical of an intellectually challenged (in BM, it means ‘cacat’ in the brain) person, you want to make me look bad by highlighting it on FB. Maybe, I should thank you, for I received a call from a Good Samaritan who was keen to help me, the result of your post. So, you see, it backfired. But it does not wipe out the fact that you have shown a bitchy side to your character. Let me dissect part by part what you have brought up.

Thank you for calling me Chow Chow. At least that’s a purebred which would be better than a mongrel of which I don’t doubt you are more akin to. Mongrels are not selective who ‘cunt’ them.

Issue 1
My students cannot stand the smell in the class that they stopped going there already.

You have a very mean personality and you dare call yourself an animal rescuer? In case it interests you, I’m still busy teaching everyday and my timetable is quite packed. Does your substandard brain think that I’m teaching an empty class? You are vicious and you call yourself an animal lover. I firmly believe that you hope that my business will fail. This proves if nothing else does that you are certainly no animal lover but an animal hater. I can confidently declare that you are evil towards animals as you should know that if my business fails, the animals will suffer. Don’t be such a hypocrite and profess to love and work for animal good when in fact you are very malicious and hope that animals will starve to death. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be doing this.

But I’m glad you brought this up. At least, I can say that my students’ noses are still in working order. Yours, I hate to say must have been so soaked in the grime of your goddess’s black hole of Calcutta that you could have lost your sense of smell. Could I ask a favour of you on behalf of many who actually finds both of you repugnant? Please continue to bury your nose in that black hole and not take it out. Do us that favour at least to make amends for your evil intentions towards my animals. If possible, glue your nose there. Karen, Karen, you are such a hypocrite. If you could, I’m sure you would want to make others lose their rice bowl so that their animals would die, especially those who don’t see your goddess in the same light. Repent before you rot in hell.

Issue 2
Bussiness must be pretty bad.

Is your spelling that bad? You see, I can be bitchy too, if I want. In this case, I want. What do they teach you in school? Would you care to share which school you attended? Maybe you did go to school but were you educated? Having attended an educational institution does not constitute that a person is educated.

Whether my business is good or bad shouldn’t be of concern to you. Again you show your evil side by hoping that people’s business fails so that their animals will suffer. Oh dear, if you are an animal lover, who needs animal abusers? Now, we know why animal abuse is on the rise. Since you seem to be such an expert on business matters, can I assume that you are in business too? What’s your business? Walking the streets? Then that should indeed be a thriving business for you. I wish you a flourishing business that will keep you busy throughout the year so that you will only have time for your goddess and your business and no time to create problems for others.

Issue 3
One little bird in broga tweeted she didn’t pay her bills up to 7K…..

I don’t see the need for you to trouble yourself over this unless you want to pay for me. I don’t need to explain to you nor do I need to give you the background. Just remember this. And I think you got the amount wrong, it should be more. Well, at least, I don’t ask for public donations to be banked into my personal account for the dogs that I rescue. Some people keep asking for donations supposedly to help dogs but what happens to the donations.

I remember that one little bird tweeted that there were some tiffs over where some donated money went, resulting in some leaving the group. What do you call this? Cheating the public or pulling wool over people’s eye, which do you prefer, Karen HLC? Or would exploiting animals to make money sound better? Remember what I told you at the beginning that what transpires is your fault.

Yes, I’m in debt. That is no secret. MDDB is also in debt. One FB member put this up on her wall “If you are in debt, then you doing it right”. Mother Theresa said “We must give until it hurts, that is real love.”

I wear the badge of debt proudly as what I earn and what I receive goes to the animals. As for yourself, Karen, how much have you put in for the dogs, or are you just taking? May I suggest that you shut your trap and drop all claims of being concerned for animals if you didn’t give until it hurts? We don’t ask for public donations even though we are in debt unlike some who ask for donations and are not willing to use their own money or go into debt, and they call this “love for animals”. If they do use their money, they will make sure that they are the whole trumpet section in the orchestra. Those who donate to us know that we are sincere. Keep your own screwed-up house in order before you interfere in other people’s, Karen.

Issue 4
And her dogs were suffering

Another case of you not checking your facts but simply shooting your mouth, Karen H.L.C. FYI, our animals DO NOT suffer even though we are in debt. Our animals always have enough food and supplements as well. Every single cent we receive goes towards them and we will top up with our own money if not enough. Not only that. We have boldly declared in our blog that even if we have to get into debt for the animals’ medical bills, we will. Our animals get to eat Transfer Factor, Salmon Oil, Enzyme, Spirulina, etc. Most of these come from our pockets.

Every donated cent goes to them although we have to struggle but we won’t deprive them even if we have to deprive ourselves. Our benefactors will vouch for us. We don’t have to bicker about donated money, into whose personal account it’ll go to, because for us, there is only one place money goes to, that is to the animals. So, pray, Karen, how are they suffering? Or, is it you are hoping that they are suffering? See, at every word that you utter, you don’t seem to wish animals well. How on earth can you go on calling yourself a rescuer? My suggestion is that you rescue yourself first.

Let me tell you we think which dog is suffering. Certainly, not ours. Nor Susan’s of Broga. You all are out to make Susan look bad. There is only one dog suffering and it is your goddess’s dog. It’s suffering because you are always stuck at the black hole so the other dog has no chance at all.

Issue 5
OMG can someone verify this?! (Punctuation error here, Karen)

Why do you need to verify? Who do you think you are? Karen, Karen, you are nothing to us at all. You should have verified before posting rubbish on FB. So, stop putting your finger into other people’s pie. I would have a little respect for you if you had verify things first and not simply shoot your mouth.

The only thing your group can do well is to delete or report spam when things get too truthful and you all realized that you are being shown up as imbeciles and LIARS. I’m prepared for you to do the same, so one copy of this is going into all my blogs and can be disseminated as and when I feel like it. One hardcopy will be used for moral lesson in class with accompanying pictures. Oh, by the way, in case you are thinking of deleting anything, I’ve already saved them up. No worries, go ahead and delete.

Now, it’s my turn to give you some of my unvarnished opinion. I don’t doubt that you’re going to tell me it doesn’t bother you. I don’t want it to bother you but I just want to say it. Never have we for one second gotten the impression that any of you truly work for animals. Instead, we see you for what you are – glory seekers, and maniacs, thinking that people are jealous of you and your CEO goddess (I like this term) for being featured in the press. I think the other way round is nearer the truth. Your goddess and her group are jealous of Susan and MDDB. Come on; admit it, if you have any decency left in you! That’s very high calling indeed to expect from you – decency.

Let me tell you another truth. If there is an independent rescuer who should get an award for serving animals, my vote goes to Susan of Broga. Not you or your goddess. Your CEO goddess raved that we haven’t been to Susan’s shelter before. See how she spewed rubbish. We knew Susan before your CEO goddess came into the picture. Your CEO goddess intimidated her because she has designs on Susan’s place. When she couldn’t get what she wanted, she turned nasty and told a pack of lies about her dogs. That is an animal lover, a champion of strays, right? The UNSUNG HERO. Now where did I read that? Puke!!! When your goddess was confronted about the lies that she told, she put the blame on Mdm Ho and her son (is it your sister and nephew?) and deleted what she wrote. The modus operandi of your CEO goddess’s group is to delete what is written after the lies have been told.

Karen, worship your CEO goddess all you want but don’t impose on others your point of view about her. Your goddess is so lucky to have a doormat like you. Give her all the attention she wants. I feel she’s suffering from some attention-deficiency syndrome and so are you.

Again, I have to remind you about what I’ve said at the beginning. You are to be blamed for all that is written here. After all, you fired the first salvo.

One last thing. You do have poor taste, Karen. Well, as the Chinese say, “No fish, shrimps also can”. The big fish rejected you so go for the small fry.

Any comments made in this post will induce an image in my mind – taking a breather from the black hole. Oh, before I forget, I’m commissioning someone to come up with a caricature, the theme is the Black Hole of Calcutta.

Don’t be vicious (ooh, I’m damn scared) and try to hasten my animals’ death by making me lose my rice bowl. That’s very wicked. You’ll get your retribution one day.

You want to play this game, Karen, let’s play. But, if you want to extend the olive branch, I’ll consider. Life is too short, Karen. I don’t know you so I won’t form my conclusive opinions of you. You forced me to write this based on your comments about me in FB, with no provocation from me, except to speak for MDDB, for which I did not even say anything personal against you.

Right on the heels of this little consolation came this very ugly news. A dog that was put at an orphanage in the Sg Long / Mahkota area was put down, seemingly for ear infection. How serious the infection was, we don’t know, but I would think that no ear infection could be so bad that an animal needs to be put down. What was even more disgusting was that the owner of the orphanage is a vegetarian which means (to me) that she is quite devout, and she even holds religious classes at the orphanage. What the bloody hell for? What are the orphans learning there about life? She must be a fake as she values life not at all. Apparently, the dog was smelly which I believe so if it has ear infection. When my cat had ear infection, it could be smelt from a mile away. Was it a good enough reason to put him down? Most certainly not. I wouldn’t have done it even if it could not be treated. I would have sourced for alternative treatment. For a stupid flimsy excuse, people will do senseless things like that.

That brings me to the next point. What about the vet who did it? Of course, I was told which vet. He’s also from the same area. Am I surprised? I heard that he charged over RM200 for P.T.S. and to use the unfeeling word which vets like to use ‘disposal’. Is business so bad for this vet that he needs this type of income? Does he not have an anchor client who inflates his Profit & Loss tremendously? Or are they not inflating enough? Or is his excuse going to be “I was merely doing what the client instructed me to do.” If he was paid to jump (not bungee jumpng) from one of the condominiums in that area (of course, the bonus is he can choose which block he would like to jump from), I wonder if he would do it. I shudder to think that there are such wicked heartless people around. Now it’s perfectly clear why the state of animal welfare in our country is deteriorating so rapidly. It’s not only the authorities. And some people think the world of this vet. (Imagine me spitting!!!!).

In a way, I believe I’m being punished for euthanizing a cat which the vet diagnosed as having F.I.P. At that time, I was bogged down with problems and being very busy, I agreed to have him euthanized as I thought it was for the sake of the other cats as well. I made a BLOODY BIG BLUNDER. My mind was clouded by busyness and swallowed every word that the vet said. I didn’t even seek other remedies. I deserve the problems that I’m getting now. I told myself – NEVER AGAIN.

I hate to say it, but I must, that some vets are taking animals too lightly. Qwang-boy comes to mind. I’m still wondering about his cause of death. I have my reasons for this query. I hope that there is something to dispel all my doubts to restore my faith in the vet, but I can only say that “I’ll never know the truth on Earth. I shall have to wait for Judgement Day” or to see if retribution comes fast. The same goes for my Mother Dog which died during surgery. Have I forgiven the vet? Yes, but not forgotten. I blame myself more in this case as he is still wet behind the years in terms of neutering experience, but I should have known better.

Who assist the vet during surgery, especially in administering anaesthetic – this question has been turning over and over in my mind? A trained personnel? We experienced once, many years ago, when we sent our animals for neutering to a subsidized clinic, the assistant was not a vet and the way they determined how much anaesthetic to inject would have scared the daylights out of anyone who knew. It did us.

If only I had known about this dog with ear infection, I would have taken it for treatment. I wouldn’t have agreed to putting it down. When I think of it, I’m livid. Some are trying to save lives, some want to play God.

It is not fair to tar all vets with one stick. There are some very true vets whom I know will not euthanize animals, although they are instructed to by owners. Instead, they will look for adopters or fosterers. These are the wonderful ones, sadly, in the minority, I believe.

To the vet who EUTHANIZED the dog and all like-minded vets, we have a dedication for you:

To E…….. or not To E…….., that is the question.

“I’ll do it for any reason,

even for a mere ear infection.

With money as my motivation,

who cares about retribution?”

To vets who are of like mind, think of the Divine.

Remember your oath to save lives,

and not be blinded by the $$$ sign.

When owners insists, please help remind,

that RETRIBUTION visits those who are unkind.

This is Colby who was left at a vet to be put down. What ‘crime’ did Colby commit to deserve such a fate? Old, plus skin problem at his butt area. To the vet’s credit, he did not put him down yet. It’s just Colby’s good luck that Vivienne happened to bring Boney to the clinic and the vet showed her this dog. Vivienne extracted a promise from him that he won’t put Colby down but to give her time to do something. Thereafter, the vet made it Vivienne’s problem. He pestered Vivienne to take the dog away. I guess Colby took up space. When more dogs came to the clinic and Colby’s kennel was needed, they put him into an area which was about 2′ x 2′ plus or minus (previously he was in a much bigger space) and he was wearing an E-collar. I think it was just standing room. We saw it with our own eyes.

THIS IS THE LIE WRITTEN BY PSYCHO RAT: “The owner didn’t bother to take her to the vet. I had to beg owner to let me tak…e her to the vet n then her stupid friend accused me for taking d dog n not returning to her. She’s still at the vet… Ear r closed n may never open bcos of delayed medical treatment.”

The owner was treating the ear with medication bought from a vet with the help of a friend in Broga. When P R came, I was told she poured some stuff into the ear and that made it worse. The owner actually wanted to take the dog to the vet but P R offered, and even to pay, so the owner agreed. P R lied that she had to beg. According to what I was told, she wrote that she rescued this dog and another one earlier, but because of her tiff with me over the lies she wrote, she changed her story and fabricated the lie in which she is very good, just to make the owner look bad. She is indeed a good fibber.

When she was first approached with offers of help, she was so naive that she told the people to use their own personal bank account. So trusting, and no guile from her. She had been told since then that this could be abused. Moreover, there is no accountability and who is to know how much has been collected. Well, she told me certain things which I shall keep to myself at the moment unless I’m forced to reveal by the actions of certain people. All cash collections by individuals must cease with immediate effect.

If any individual wishes to donate to Susan, you can do it through MDDB or MyAnimalCare – these 2 NGOs only.

Words of bravado about being able to afford to pay were uttered before the rescue, so I heard. Why ask for donations after that? And to be banked into personal account. I remember seeing another instance when donations was solicited for some medical bills by this same person.

I think it’s time this issue of individuals soliciting for donations be looked into. I’m not sure under whose jurisdiction this matter should be highlighted to, but it’s not difficult to find out, right? I was told that it’s a police report first, with evidence of course. Now, this should be that person’s cup of tea, as she likes to bring in the police to accompany them to people’s premises, thinking that people will be scared at the sight of a police. Malaysia has one of the friendliest police forces in the world.

Knowing well this person will delete posts to cover her tracks, I’ve already saved it up. We learn, don’t we? Hei, I’m not threatening anyone, I’m not the vindictive type, but don’t push me with anymore lies or bully. It’s good to know when to shut up ‘cos I’m going to do just that if no more nonsense surfaces from this person, otherwise the ‘game’ goes on.

On a serious note, if too many individuals or non-NGO groups are soliciting for donations, which first of all is against the law, second, NGOs which truly work for animals like MDDB, AnimalCare will suffer. It’s not fair to them. After all, any unscrupulous person can just take an animal which is in very bad condition (not difficult to find in Malaysia) and ask for donations in the name of medical bills.

In case anyone wants to ‘shoot’ me over this issue, make sure you have a valid reason.

The only fault, if we can call it a fault, is that she doesn’t want to neuter her dogs. Her reason is she doesn’t want her dogs to suffer pain. Many have persuaded her to neuter but she is still not agreeable to it. Anyway, most people will accept that it’s her decision. After all, it’s her shelter and who are we to impose on her. Each individual has his/her own opinion on how things are done. However, she separates the dogs and she does not breed them. Why would she want to breed? People are dumping dogs and puppies in front of her shelter nearly every other day. Whenever people want to get rid of their animals, they think of her. She has such a big heart for dogs that she will not hesitate to accept dogs surrendered to her, all because she feels sorry for them. She cannot say no to dogs and she cannot see them suffer. That is the problem with her. When it comes to dogs, her heart will melt and she could only think of them. She doesn’t even set conditions when people bring dogs to her. Most shelters would have some kind of terms and conditions, especially pertaining to payment for upkeep of animals, in place but not Susan. She only sees the dogs and nothing else.  I really have to salute her. Given myself in the same situation, I would not and could not have done it.

We visited Broga shelter shortly after we started our own shelter last year. A friend brought us there. Since then, we have visited her shelter a couple of times. We are aware of our responsibility to our own animals and we certainly don’t have the time to make social visits that often. But we do keep in touch.

We salute this lady from Broga. Her dedication and love for dogs is very commendable and above all, she shuns publicity.

Lately, she has very negative publicity directed at her and this is the result of one so-called volunteer (whom I called P SYCHO R AT) who appeared to be so zealous in wanting to help Susan. A lot of lies were written and spread about her and her shelter. All these were done in the guise of wanting to help Susan, but actually it was for this person to draw some attention to herself. Poor Susan was ignorant of all these initially as she is not computer savvy at all and she was completely unaware of what was happening until I asked her to verify what was said.

The price we pay

I’ve been rescuing dogs for some time n along the way, I’ve met some very nice people who are angels n some nasty people… People who think they own the world n that they can do anything they want or say. If you live your life by putting people down with your lies and manipulation…. then go ahead my friend, you only make me stronger. I dont have time for this sorts of shit, if you are jealous and envious, I can’t help you and I don’t think God can too. I think you need help and you should attend church to repent. If you think your lies is going to stop me from doing what I do, think again…I do it straight from the heart…I never think twice in a rescue. I bet you can’t do what I do so you hide behind your computer and bitch about me. Go ahead and bitch all you want coz thats what bitches do best. It’s so funny that you bitch about something but you’ve never been there before, not once. False accusations will get you nowhere but hell and probably that where you belong. Don’t threaten people, who you think you are, God? @#$$ you

Can u quantify your ‘for some time’? From what I was told, you appeared on the rescuing scene quite recently. So, don’t blow your own trumpet. From what I see, you don’t seem to have much sense to do rescue work. What is your real motive? Glory, publicity or what?

Can’t be very smart, right? It’s not only in rescuing dogs, it takes all kinds to make the world and I have to say you are really one of a kind – the kind that is ‘the less, the better’. You are certainly one of the nastiest kinds that I’ve met in the way you harass and intimidate the owner of the Broga shelter. Is it because you think she is a weakling?

People who think they own the world n that they can do anything they want or say.

How nice to know that you are so honest when talking about yourself. This describes you perfectly. You think you can harass the owner of Broga shelter and you think you can intimidate her by bringing your husband and the policemen. What you wrote above – doesn’t that describes you to a T. You think you can do or say anything you want. How right you are! You think you own the world. You have no respect for the shelter in Broga. You make a big show and talk about the Broga shelter at a pet expo. I heard you were hopping from stall to stall talking about the bad condition of this shelter and its owner, WITHOUT permission of course, on the pretext of wanting to help, but actually you were trying to draw some attention for yourself. Wait, but was your ramblings accompanied by crocodile tears? That being not enough, you went on FB to badmouth this person. When you were challenged, you quickly deleted the posts so that you can deny your lies. That’s what cowards always do. Cover their tracks. But, by then, the damage had been done. Many had already read and form their opinions of that shelter in Broga, based on what you’d written. If one truly wants to help, one would keep quiet and not stir people’s curiosity which was what you wanted. Most of all, one would not talk about others behind their back. You wanted people to say how good you are and what a wonderful person you are. And, the shelter owner was in the dark about what was happening. You are hingeing on the fact that this Broga shelter owner is not on FB and is totally computer ignorant.

Again, you hit the nail on the head about yourself. I can see that you describe yourself very well. You have been putting the Broga shelter owner down with your lies and manipulation. What’s your ulterior motive? Have plans of your own, is it? Do you remember saying this or something like this,  the essence of which were not lost on us when S____ told us, “S____, don’t worry. We don’t want to take over your shelter………”. Why spring this out of the blue? And if I recall correctly in FB, didn’t you all have some plans for this Broga shelter? So who is the manipulative one? What about your lies? Exaggerating the terrible condition of the animals and lying about the shelter owner. I believe you could take advantage of her and write whatever you want on FB ‘cos you thought she wouldn’t ever find out. But, not everyone is like you, badmouthing people to draw attention upon yourself. If that’s not manipulative and lying, what is? This is one of the worst form of hypocrisy ‘cos you seek to destroy, not uplift . No one is putting anybody down except you yourself. By what you are doing, you are degrading yourself and putting yourself down.

Looks like you have plenty of time for shit which you are excellent at. That’s why you are so regular and such an irritant to this Broga shelter, in spite of being told that you are not wanted. To me, you certainly have nothing better to do. Well, you have created other shit (to use your own word) before. If a person is gainfully employed and has more important things to do in life, he/she won’t have time to create problems for people, but to me you seem to have lots of time for that. Then, when you are told that you are not wanted there, you turned threatening.

I nearly puke on the above statement. Some people really have no shame at all. I had been pondering about you and was trying to find out what is it about you for people to be jealous and envious of. Now, let’s analyze step by step.

Let’s start with physical. Based on the pictures and video that I’ve seen of you, I do agree that you are quite normal and pretty tho’ a little on the plump side. But is that reason enough for anyone to be jealous or envious? Even if you have the body of Miss Universe, it doesn’t move anyone at all, but you’re not even close. Maybe, if you have some inner beauty, then there is something to be jealous about but there is none as shown in your scribblings and ramblings.

Next, jealous of you based on what I’ve heard about you and believe me, it’s quite aplenty? There was hardly anything complimentary. In fact, certain things I’ve heard provided us some humour and something to laugh about. So, pray tell me, what is there to be jealous or envious about you? That you can be the centre of people’s jokes. Oh, yeah, we do need jesters to provide the laughs.

Finally, don’t be so pompous to think that you have something for people to be jealous or envious about. I would think one of you is more than enough in this world. Should scientists decide to do human cloning, I hope to goodness you won’t be in the running to be picked. Should they decide to do ass cloning, then I would think you are an excellent candidate. Now, now, why would I envy or be jealous of someone like that? That I’m not in the running for ass cloning?

Oh, yes, I nearly forgot that the only thing that I can see you think I envy or am jealous about you is that you are a very likely inmate for Hospital Bahagia Tanjong Rambutan and I would never have a chance to enter that place. Yes, that is the only reason that I could be jealous or envious of you, if you can call it that.

You really are self-opinionated, aren’t you? People in mental institutions do that sometimes. They fancy themselves as royalty and everyone must respect and honour and even kowtow to them. You fancy that everyone needs your help and if they don’t want it, they are jealous or envious. Deranged is a mild description, in this case.

And please, don’t think of helping people when you yourself are in dire straits of needing help urgently. You are loony. Please help yourself first. Urgent desperate help is needed for you. To tell you the truth, I find you nauseating.

By the way, don’t invoke the name of God. Don’t add to your sins by doing that as it is blasphemous. I’m sure He didn’t appoint a prophetess with a curly tongue and a mixed-up mind like yours.

I was going to suggest that you seek psychiatric help as your ramblings show that you are delirious. Have you suffered from a high fever before. Now, enlighten me please, do you think that a person who can ask her husband to call up a stranger to declare his love for his wife needs help or not?

You poor thing, you would most certainly need to attend a place of worship to seek divine help to untwist your mind and lying sickness. You can’t seem to detach yourself from Broga shelter. Please seek psychiatric help before it’s too late for you.

Another lie. Forever lying. You are the one threatening the Broga shelter owner by bringing policemen and accusing her of not caring for dogs because she complained about you to me. You bombarded her just because she doesn’t follow your orders. You even shouted at her, bringing your husband along. Why? Both of you got nothing better to do. If that’s the case, ask your husband to read ‘The Taming of the Shrew’ by William Shakespeare, if he is educated enough to read such classics, instead of gallivanting with you at night to Broga to cause problems. It may help prevent his downfall as ‘behind every successful man is a woman’ but don’t forget ‘behind every man’s failure is (also) a woman’.

By the way, please update yourself on our country’s administration. It is not the police duty to look into animal affair. You are ignorant, as far as I see. This is not the first time you did that – bringing a police. What do you call your action? You think that by bringing the police, you can scare people. Wake up! It’s not at last; I knew you were somewhere around giving problems. These last few lines confirm that you are hallucinating. You accused the Broga shelter owner of seeing things in your earlier FB posts (which you deleted) but the reality is you are the one seeing things. Once again, seek professional help. You need it badly. By the way, I don’t hate life but I hate bullies of which you are one of them. You bully the owner of the Broga shelter.

You have taken pains to write a long letter, I too have taken the time to read it.

Am I supposed to feel honoured then? There was no ‘pains’ at all. Indeed I do not wish to take too much of your time. Therefore, I’ve responded by paragraphs.

I have not responded as soon as I read it, not because I was very busy ( though I actually was ) but because I have to really think how to write to you and to make sure each and every word I use in this mail will not incur your wrath again. Like you, I too have learnt some lessons, i.e. people do not realize they too bite hard at people’s words and refuse to let go;  people’s reactions and emotions can be highly unpredictable.

It is not words alone that can incur wrath: insinuations, indecisiveness, people who keep changing their decision, animals not neutered and allowed to bred, especially shelter animals, suffering animals in which nothing can be done for them, yet people refusing to end their suffering, etc. I didn’t want to bore you but since you seemed so concerned about incurring my wrath, that’s why.

There are also people who don’t bite hard enough at their own words and so freely change them that their words become worthless. ‘People’s reactions and emotions can be highly unpredictable’ in situations where indecisiveness rank high and decisions keep changing, thus making the other party wondering what’s happening and on further consideration made to feel like a fool. Words are cheap, until the shoe is on the other foot.

I have talked to you after Viveen called me about your response towards Kim’s offer ( though at that point not even yet finalized), I did tell you that PM’s credibility would be at stake if we did not make good the promise about paying the spaying as well as the vaccinations.

Which of Kim’s offer was not exactly finalized? I don’t quite understand. Why then did you call to insist that I should accept the payment from PM? Remember your 1st call to me? You were very insistent that I should accept. Why, if at that point it’s ‘not even yet finalized’. If PM’s credibility is at stake, why the change of decision at the 2nd phone call just 2 days later? Hey, you’ve lost me there.

Then I talked to Kim and she told me there was some conversations between both of you that gave her the impression that you did not mind about some arrangement now that the dogs family have been adopted. (in PM, we have different set of rules for fostering and adoption, I hope you have been briefed by your “friends” here in PM) ). Kim  thought paying the spaying cost was a straight forward thing cos it was already in your blog but the vaccinations was a bit tricky cos it  is a yearly cost. So it was decided to seek for the PM group’s opinion on this.

You can’t apply PM’s set of rules to us as we are not part of PM. That’s your internal matter. We don’t know and neither would we want to as we only go by what was conveyed to us. May I ask what arrangement was referred to? If it is the taking over, including expenses, of the family, yes, I did say that I would be responsible for everything and had every intention to. As I’ve mentioned in my first e-mail, I was told that even though we took over, PM would still be responsible for their vaccination and neutering. From what I was told, PM had already agreed to pay. Why should ‘spaying cost be straightforward’ just because it’s in my blog (PM seems to like to do things according to blogs and thank you notes; this is merely my opinion based on what I have gauged, so no need to get your feathers all ruffled) or do you mean that it’s because it’s a once-in-a-lifetime thing whereas vaccination is yearly. Did I miss out no. 5) neutering and and yearly vaccination?

Unlike your set-up which comprises only 2 persons, PM has about 10 active members and their opinions are important to PM,  that’s why the voting to choose some options.  ( the voting would not have hurt you had you not insisted to be told something that was internal)

Since you have brought it up, it matters not whether a set-up comprises 2 or 10 or 100, effectiveness lies not in numbers. Please not to flatter yourselves if you are insinuating that I want to know about PM’s internal affairs. Spare me, please. , I would choose something more worthwhile if I do, which I don’t. As I’ve mentioned before, it is the ding-dong here and there, that gets me and like it or not, we’re involved. In my opinion, a mere RM200 can make some people be like ‘chickens without heads’. Fine if by walking about, the ‘headless chickens’ affect no one, but if they do, then people have to speak out.

In PM, we only have appointed treasurers and no chairman nor chairwoman. Therefore whether the leadership is firm or undecided does not arise, I can only say that we practice democracy and  try to value everyone’s opinion. But I am very glad your organisation has very firm and strong leadership and meant every word you utter.

PM’s leadership is no concern of ours. We are only bothered by what affects us. Since your setup is so democratic and everyone’s opinion is so valuable, is that why one day it is ‘yes’, and the next ‘no’ and the next…..?

Weren’t aware that you thought so well of us. Just a little correction is needed. GOE is just a small entity, not like PM, so we won’t be that conceited to put ourselves on the same level. But, of course, I should be so.o.o……… flattered by your words. Of course, we try to mean every word we utter. Take, for instance, this matter. We’ve said that we would bear the expenses but I was told that PM would bear the vaccination and neutering, so why should I desist? This insistence also came from you, or sorry, had I misunderstood somewhere along the line that you were actually talking off your own bat and it had nothing to do with PM.

After the conversation with Kim, ( the next day?) I thought I should call and ask you about the spaying as in your blog. You said so sweetly  that you have told some of us in PM that you were already prepared to provide for the doggie family when you made up your mind to adopt them. I thought the vaccination matter has been  settled because you have such sweet and gentle disposition in all our conversations, never once did you utter an angry word nor raise your voice nor objecting to anything I said,… not until the next day when your long letter came….

Do I have any reason to show none other than ‘such sweet and gentle disposition’ when you insisted that I should accept the payment for vaccination from PM in your 1st call to me? I must be off my rocker not to have ‘such sweet and gentle disposition’ when someone offered me money. You’re absolutely right. I was prepared to provide for Empress and her family but why did PM insist that they will pay. Come on, who will turn down. Why didn’t PM leave it at that? As I’ve said before, if PM insist, why should I desist.  Did you forget the 2nd call you made when you changed your tune and said that PM would only pay for the neutering since I mentioned only neutering in my thank you note? Even then, I maintained my ‘such sweet and gentle disposition’ because I was rather surprised, from absurdity, that the reason you gave was my thank you note in my blog only mentioned neutering, and not vaccination. Let’s not go into all that again. That would be like a dog chasing its own tail. All this fuss came about because we got different answers on different days even when things had been supposedly ‘settled’ from your 1st phone call.

Anyway, the reason you gave provided us a good laugh. Must thank you for that. That was definitely a new one, never heard that before. Indeed, I’ve learnt something.

Some thought just came to my mind. I don’t know if I’m right as to the reason for all this. Could it be I didn’t pay the adoption fee and if PM were to foot the vaccination and neutering fees, that would be a further loss to PM. That is just my deduction. Whatever it is, right or wrong, I don’t give two hoots now as I’m footing the bill myself. In the event that I’m right, don’t worry. It’s understandable in the business sense.

Anyway,  people was hurt by the chain of incidents. Kim and I too were disturbed and shock by the turn of events.  I must admit Kim and I have underestimated people’s emotions.

Please lah, are you trying to make out that the both of you are the aggrieved party.  I have every reason to believe that Kim told different things to different people. At the risk of you implying that I’m meddling in PM, please ask yourselves how did all this start. Yes, I would say that we should be the one shocked, as indeed I was, when your 2nd call retracted what you had already affirmed, in your 1st call, that I should accept the payment from PM. How would you feel if you were in my shoes? Still having a ‘sweet and gentle disposition’? Indeed, I’m surprised that both of you ‘were disturbed and shock by the turn of events’ when to me, this ‘turn of events’ is the change of mind on the part of your goodselves.

Whatever it is, congratulations to you and some of the PM’s members because you ladies are genuine dog rescuers.  Keep up the good work!

Oh, yes, keep at it! Your PM ladies must be so proud that one of their heads (or whatever your position) acknowledges them. Good management style! Must learn from you. I hope you’re not going to insinuate that I’m trying to meddle in PM internal matters. I may compliment you, mayn’t I?
